Year 4 Take Oz by Storm

image

The magic of Oz swept through St Andrew’s School at the end of Term 2 as our talented Year 4 students presented a captivating week of performances of the beloved classic, “The Wizard of Oz.”

The production showcased the talents of not one, but two amazing casts: the Oz Cast and the Wiz Cast. Each brought their own unique interpretations and boundless energy to the stage, captivating audiences with their performances, and dazzling song and dance routines.

From Dorothy and Toto’s heartwarming journey down the Yellow Brick Road to unforgettable encounters with the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, the Year 4 students truly captured the magic of Oz.

This successful production wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of a dedicated team. Our sincere thanks go to Musical Director, Sharyn Iadanza, and Director of Music, Anna Coppens, for bringing the music to life. We also extend our gratitude to the Year 4 teachers, Danielle Lyons, and the talented musicians for their invaluable contributions.

Special thanks go to our dedicated team of parent helpers for their incredible work on sets, props, costumes, and makeup. Their creativity transported the audience to the fantastical landscapes of Oz, from the vibrant colours of Munchkinland to the imposing Emerald City.

Thank you to everyone who made this production a success.
