Adelaide United Football Club Training Program

image

During Term 2, St Andrew’s Years 1 and 2 students got active with a special training program led by the talented coaches from Adelaide United Football Club. The program focused on developing key skills like ball control, passing, and teamwork, all while promoting a love for sports and an active lifestyle.

A highlight of the Week 3 session was the return of Old Scholar and current Adelaide United player, Yaya Dukuly. Yaya’s visit was a source of inspiration for our current students. Yaya shared their memories of St Andrew’s and spoke about the positive impact the school and its teachers had on their journey.

The program wasn’t just about drills and exercises. The coaches fostered a positive and inclusive environment where students could learn, have fun, and build sportsmanship. The students thoroughly enjoyed their time with the Adelaide United coaches, and it was a fantastic opportunity for them to develop a passion for football.

The collaboration with Adelaide United and the visit from Yaya is prime examples of how St Andrew’s fosters a vibrant School community. These experiences offer students valuable lessons, connect them with role models, and create lasting memories. The School extends its gratitude to Adelaide United for their expertise and taking the time to inspire the next generation.
